Petri wrote two books in collaboration with K. Pattabhi Jois and R. Sharath Jois between 2004 – 2007. The second of the books, Nadi Sodhana, has the latest Ashtanga Yoga Intermediate series vinyasa techniques from K. Pattabhi Jois as he fell ill just two moths after the book project was finished.

Petri will introduce the details which not many students are familiar with even in 2021. The technique class follows the book’s vinyasa method and alignments and will give a good understanding about the changes in the asanas and history of the asana techniques. The class is ideal for everyone who is interested about Ashtanga Yoga and Intermediate series details
We won’t do the practice as a full guided class, but will go through the details, vinyasas and tips and try the techniques on the yoga mat.
Petri started practicing Ashtanga yoga in 1989 and teaching in 1991. He is co-owner and director of Ashtanga Yoga Helsinki. Since 2000 Petri has been teaching Ashtanga yoga internationally around the world. He received his teaching authorization from K. Pattabhi Jois and Sharath Jois in 2001.
Petri focuses on integrating healing and therapy with yoga, meeting student’s individual needs and guiding their progress. Petri’s yoga pose adjustments are gentle, effective, therapeutic and, according to some, almost magical, and originate (besides his own practice and teaching) from his past work as a traditional Finnish folk healer and naturopath. His friendly, relaxed behaviour and intuitive perception give an open, energetic and meditative atmosphere to his classes.
