Dear Ashtanga Yoga students, friends or/and colleagues.
Hope you are doing well and have been healthy and safe! We are truly living the strangest time of our lives. It has been challenging in many ways but surely there has been a lots of interesting and also beautiful moments during the lockdowns and restrictions.
Now as our whole winter schedule had to be removed and rescheduled we have a great opportunity to stay in Finland and get to used for the Northern winter with snow, cold and dark, but also for the magic and blue moments of Lapland, getting to the habit of cross country skiing, ice skating etc (which we have been missing). and our boys doesn’t have to ask in the end of March when we are coming back home from Asia ”what is that white dust on the top of the cars”.
Petri and Wambui will be teaching in Finland for December, January, February and March. The schedules and times will vary in each place so the students can easily take part of one or more workshops and still have a unique classes.
Welcome to practice in live with Petri and Wambui the “Finnish Yogis and Yoginis” and everyone who is allowed to travel to Finland during this uncertain times. Our schedule for the other parts of the world will continue in March-April (if the Pandemia has been slowing down and the traveling will be possible) and our On-line classes in our own channels and for a different Yoga Schools will continue weekly for the whole winter.
Wambui’s own schedule can be found from www.wambuinjuguna.com and from her Instagram and Facebook @wellnesswithwambui.
We remain firmly and deeply committed to leveraging our privilege and sharing our platform to counter global anti-blackness, racism, homophobia and transphobia, to name but a few of the ways human lives are valued differently. Much work needs to be done in the yoga and wellness world in order for us to aspire to our ideal of Oneness and union.
On the workshops we will respect and follow the Finnish government’s newest advices and restrictions to make the yoga space as safe as possible. The workshop sizes will be smaller than normally in the workshops which means more attention for the students and fresh air to breathe!
